isn't this taking electioneering too far?
Ha!
My thoughts exactly.
Considering they'd had to contend with the loss of a child...
... I think it's wonderful news for them.
Cynicism is one thing, thinking that little of someone (politician or not) is quite another.
these days
I ain't so sure
Thinking like this lessens the thinker.
The end.
Lost in translation
The observation wasn't entirely serious, sheesh!
It was indeed awful for them to lose their son, and I have every sympathy...but you have to admit that this news, coming on top of the SamCam interview, the SamCam 'accidentally discovered' photographs, and CallMeDave's vow to use SamCam as a 'secret weapon' in the election, is not just a little OTT?
I'm more
concerned as to why this was the lead story on the ITV news (didn't see the BBC or C4 news).
I could be naive but...
I can believe this may improve DC's chances at the next election. I can even believe a Tory spin merchant may have even brought it up as a vote-winning idea. I can believe they timed the announcement with vote-winning in mind.
However, I cannot believe that a married couple would choose to bring a child into the world just as a stunt to gain votes, even a politician.
I'd also be lying if I said that thought hadn't crossed my mind though.
It's nice and all, but
isn't the timing of the announcement just that little suspicious? Why didn't they just keep it quiet till after early May?
Having said that: good for them. And it changes my voting intentions not at all.
I heard it was
John Terry's.
No, surely not
He's a very happily married man (and, lest we forget, Daddy of The Year) - didn't you see the lovely holiday pictures?
