Wonderful!
That was filmed in 1966 just off Gloucester Road (Queens Gate Mews) in South Kensington not far from the Albert Hall.
I've always imagined he went for a walk with the film crew following the sound check at the RAH.
Sorry
I just wanted to slap him. Reminded me of a spoilt teenager after too many artificial flavourings. That's all.
Indeed... Hardly the work of a genius...
but rather an easily amused and slightly stoned smart-alec.
Be honest
If it wasn't Bob Dylan, you'd almost certainly cross to the other side of the road to avoid any kind of possible confrontation.
But....
...it IS Bob Dylan
yeah
Judas!
Wow!
Tough crowd!
How cool...
is he in that clip? In 1966 he must have seemed like he'd just beamed in from Mars...
More than anything...
...he just looks fantastic!
Exactly
he was the coolest man on the planet at that moment in time.
They dont make em like that
They dont make em like that anymore
if it had been young Gallagher we'd have been lucky to get a "F&*K IT!"
This is from Eat The Document, isn't it?
Any sign of this getting an official release of any kind? Anyone got inside knowledge of this kind of thing?
The quality of the concert footage used in No Direction Home was fantastic, so the whole Eat The Document must be of comparable quality. I've only ever seen a ropey pirate DVD transfer.
It's not on Eat The Document
although it may have been filmed at the same time during the 1966 UK tour.
This footage above opens disc 2 of the No Direction Home DVD.
I've got a really high quality copy of Eat The Document*, but it's seemingly unedited so apart from the music clips, it's very disjointed and hard to follow.
It's always great to see Bob in any situation, but as a film ETD is really nowhere near as good as Don't Look Back.
*apart from the Lennon/Dylan limo journey at the end which always seems to be poor quality wherever it turns up.
Ah, you're right
I forgot that's where I saw it.
Still, I would still like to see a good transfer of Eat The Document. It's disjointed, sure, but it's got great stuff like Bob hanging about George Square! (That's in Glasgow, for those who haven't had the pleasure)
