Budd, Eno & The Lost La's: New Recommendations in the Word Download Store
We've spruced up the Word Download Store with a couple of new suggestions for things you absolutely must buy right now: David Hepworth picks an album by Harold Budd and Brian Eno that's been copied by many but never, ever bettered, while regular reader Phil Spector pleads the case for an album of La's rarities that was released while no-one was watching.
Also recommended: we've got the new album by Oasis (just £4.99 for 320kbps, DRM-free mp3, digital fans), plus Jenny Lewis, Jackson Browne, Ben Folds, Department of Eagles, Rokia Traoré, Jolie Holland, The Aliens and much much more...
I'm always looking for reader recommendations, so if there's an album in the Store you'd like to see featured on the Store homepage, please send me an 80-100 word review.

Pedant's corner
Lost La's has been out for at least 5 years. I have a battered old CD copy. There's a second volume as well which covers the Mike Badger years (and which isn't that good).
That sounds like my fault
Phil actually specified an album called Lost Tunes, which I couldn't find, so I assumed he meant Lost La's, which I could.
Or...
Phil might have been referring to the digital-only La's album Lost Tunes, which is only available from Universal's Lost Tunes website, but not available from the Word store.
Still, the two Lost La's albums we do have cover the same material, so you're better off here anyway.
A recommendation that's NOT in the store....
Can we recommend stuff that's not yet in the store in the hope that you'll talk to the good people at 7 digital and get it fixed...... ?
I've been listening to a fair bit of early Fleetwood Mac / Peter Green recently and realised that I don't have a CD version / MP3 version of "Oh Well". As such was trying to get a copy of "And Then Play On" - its not in the local HMV so I was looking at downloading - can't find on 7 digital or iTunes. I know I could go to Amazon, but given that have to send all the way to Singapore for me, I tend to accumulate a few things before I purchase.
It can't be a licensing thing as all the other Peter Green era albums are there.
Can you have a word Fraser ?
Greeny
Oh Well appears to be available on Peter Green - Supernatural - An Anthology. But I'll fire off an e-mail about the album you mention.
Thanks
I did see that it was on the compilation, but wanted the "original" album. Also not sure if the "Oh Well" on the the compilation is the shortened a-side version compared with the full version on "Then Play On".
Thanks for you help
