Boo Hewerdine and Eddi Reader

Sing 'Hummingbird'
I post for no other reason than from 0:00 to 4:12 it is joy unrestrained.
A small delight. What acoustic instruments were made for. Fair brightened up a Monday night in our house.

I have seen Boo
on a number of occasions & he is always brilliant.
Probably my favourite songwriter of recent times.
Chatted to him after a gig once, and he is charming. And about seven feet tall.
Recent album 'All the pretty things' is a corker too.
Aye, s'a cracker
If that was on Led Zeppelin III (and you can imagine Planty boy singing it) you'd all be wetting yer pants over it.
As is becoming the norm round here
I should declare that I *heart* Eddi Reader.
Not really to my taste..
But Eddi Reader has just the most fantastic voice. An Autotune box would get cobwebs on it in her house. I remember seeing her with Fairground Attraction years ago when they supported Deacon Blue. She is still probably the finest singer I have ever witnessed live. It was a virtuoso demonstration of what a voice can do.
The air guitar bits were a bit amusing, though..
Saw them together on
5th August 1997 and they were fantastic.
This song is so true it's heartbreaking.
'And the loneliest sound of all, is the sound of love through a strangers wall
And when their laughter fades and there are no more words, the silence breaks me most of all'
just toured australia
saw them at the local record shop
eddie has rather nice legs
They complement each other.
Seen Eddie several times and I don't think I've heard her sing one wrong note. I saw her with Boo Hewerdine and other musicians at York Opera House. She hadn't prepared a set list and basically decided on the spot what to sing. If the musicians didn't know the song they had to pick it up and join in when ready. Worked a treat.
Saw Eddi at Poshstock
last year, she and her band were the highlight of Cornbury 09. Perfect music for a country fair.
He used to drink in my local...
... when I lived in Cambridge. Nice bloke.
loved the song
but Eddi seems like the Jamiroquai of the Real ale set or is she,and i believe the term da yoof use is,on one ?
Read all about it...
May I thoroughly commend Boo's recent tour diary to the house.
