Blair or Coulson?

busker_du's picture

Which story will Sky News, Fox, The Sun & The Times lead with?

Hmmm .....

I know the point you're making...

...but Sky News is actually leading with Coulson on its website.

Blair's

appearance at Chilcott has turned into a bit of a non-event, it would have been seen as suspicious not to lead with Couslon. Presumbley No.10 were hoping this would be a good day to announce the resignation but it seems to have backfired. Oh dear.

I think they

were also planning on the continuing Johnson fallout obscuring it.

Funny how Ed Miliband appointing a bloke who only resigned because his wife was diddling his bodyguard - a little over zealous on carrying out the job description you might think - is supposed to call Miliband's judgement into question.

Yet Cameron appointing Coulson and then hanging on to him grimly when it was obvious to all and sundry just where the story would ultimately lead is no reflection on his judgement at all according to many of the self same commentators.

funny

how off beam the ex-PR man's judgment is on this matter, innit?

Miliband's judgement was called into question...

... because Johnson had no economics background. Both Ed Balls and Yvette Cooper do, but were considered politically suspect due to their closeness to Gordon Brown. Nowt to do with affairs, and it's entirely possible that neither Johnson or Miliband knew about it till recently.

Sorry, I was referring

to the line of questioning etc yesterday, that somehow Miliband should have foreseen his exit on personal grounds, and that he wasnt really going because of that, but he was really bering sacked. Seems that for once, a politician had been telling the truth.

I take your point re the initial appointment and Johnson's lack of economics background, but that was a different debate - should have been clearer, sorry!
