Biko

Fraser Lewry's picture

It's a fairly typical live performance until about 1'15", the point where Peter Gabriel gets on his bicycle (I believe it's a Moulton) and rides casually around the stage.

I don't think there's enough of this kind of thing. Can anyone think of other examples of non-rock artifacts used in such a distinctly rock environment?

I went to see Les Savy Fav

I went to see Les Savy Fav at The Garage and their singer, seemingly bored with the the small stage, took a stool into the middle of the audience, stood on top of it, and did the gig right there.

Non-rock equipment

I see your bike and I raise you a trampette.

A trampette?

Ah, Nils.
Who can forget the NME review comment from a London gig back in his A&M 'Cry Tough' career days.
"..even his scarves have scarves"
Head, wrist, neck, guitar, etc. He had a trampoline then too.

Does livestock count?

For ZZ Top's 76 tour they used live cattle, bison, rattlesnakes and cactus on stage for set dressing,

Ian Brown's yo-yo

At a Roses' gig, can't recall which one.

Nonsense

If Thor were a real man, he'd do it without the goggles.
