Best of the year, out early ?

i may be wrong but i thought that all the music magazines printed the best of the year list at , well ,at the end of the year and issued in the mags released in january. i wonder why they have all changed policy this year and released early. ( they all seem to be out before the end of November as well )At this rate in a couple of years we will be summing things up before the summer break !

out by Christmas - early December actually, but the issues are dated January.

thought i used to pick them up after christmas but i think you are right after dusting off a jan 07 copy of mojo containing best albums of 06 . humble apologises !
I was wondering
if albums that come out in late November ever get in such lists: too late for publication date of that year's magazines but by the time the next year magazines are produced they will be seen as "last year".
I agree unless its by a ' big band'
ie radiohead last year i doubt you will have a chance.
