Posted by Jim Thomas on 8 February 2008 - 3:55pm.
you might not like the track (of course I do), but isn't this video brilliantly appropriate and the best evocation of its spirit:
Or have you got a better suggestion?

On Friday I Like !!
Gosh, hasn't Grace Slick
Gosh, hasn't Grace Slick worn remarkably well.
I know,
And after so many kids, she's really kept it together. Must be down to the bottle feeding !
What's Going On?
I get myself hooked up with Firefox so I can re-access the audio on the Word site, but since then anything from You Tube has come across all Norman-Collier-all-that-scratching's-making-me-itch.
Sorry...who is it?
I did like the vid and though the track was good, felt it went on a tad.
Boards of Canada
Could any real band name be Wiki-Proggier?

I liked it, but....
...I'm not sure I saw it as a music video. It wouldn't have surprised me if you said the video was shot and the music was written for it. Of course, that does reinforce the original point that the video captures the music's spirit, but I think that it's just a really well-shot and interesting piece of film that could soundtrack an awful lot of ambient or Boards of Canada style music.
And best video ever? Don't make me laugh, it's hardly Buddy Holly by Weezer now is it?!
File under covers....
......preferably never to be seen or heard again. Some covers enhance the original motif, others destroy it. This fulfills the latter. Place alongside the ghastly mess of Valerie from a year or so ago. The "artists" need to be chained up and force-fed Jefferson Airplane until they promise not to defile any more of their output. (Maybe they could play with Jefferson Starship in future)
