Totally agree. The monumental ‘Lonely Boy’ could have been made pretty much anytime since 1970 but who cares, it’s magnificent.

In no particular order, but these are the new tracks that I've loved this year. Lots of "ft"s and a remix. A mixed bag, but I'm enamoured by them all. Some post rock, hip hop and dubstep mixed with some folk and pop.

I Think you should at least

I Think you should at least have one track from the new David Mead album, probably track one. Same for Eleanor Friedburger. Stick in House for Sale by Sir Nick and I would include Richie & Rueben by Fountains of Wayne and Kitty Wells dresses by Laura Cantrell. Although there haven't been any classic albums this year, I think there have been some great tracks.
