heres another classic
Spiderman
I notice that Spider Man (the movie) is on the TV tonight and this reminds me of a line in it. The superhero is glancing at the top of a building that he needs to get to and says "up up and away web", no doubt paying homage to the author of this song. (Jimmy Webb by the way.)
Obviously
"Mr Bruce? Thus is Specsavers"
Steve Bruce didn't see the beach ball, which was bright red and 3 times the size of the ball he normally watches. Even the famously myopic Arsene Wenger would have clocked it.
But where do they make balloons..
this is from They Might Be Giants Kids lp which smaller members of our family have enjoyed and crucial it's bearable for adults too.
Jammy
bloody Mackems
This
Couldn't help laughing though
It was blimmin' hilarious
on several counts:
1) It was a scouser who threw it onto the pitch
2) It was adorned with the Liverpool crest.
3) It was bright red, for heaven's sake.
4) It was in the penalty box for ages and goalkeeper Reina didn't notice it.
5) When he did notice it, he had to choose quickly between going towards the white match ball, or the big, red beachball...and he went for...?!
REM have written a song to celebrate :-)

Balloon week.
Balloons have had a productive seven days; over the last week they've kidnapped a child, fallen on the Queen, and scored the winning goal against Liverpool!
hilarious
