So with the inclemency meaning Man U versus Man City cancelled I did wonder what the Beeb might replace it with. Unbelievably they've gone with BBC News...a kind of bad weather special! Stuck in the house that's really NOT the escapism I was looking for. Like The Sweet, they just haven't a clue what to do. Grr.

when the cricket was rained off and the Beeb would show highlights of classic old matches. They should have done the same last night.
Ratings for Snow/Local News
The news special only replaced 30mins of the 2hr 30 left gaping because of the cancellation. Actually the ratings for snow/local news in this period at both the BBC/ITV have been considerably higher than normal.
