Attention Word fans in Ireland - value alert
Posted by russell123 on 20 September 2009 - 7:40pm.
Just signed up for 12 editions of The Word to Ireland for 48 sterling.
I know the downside might be the time it takes to get to me - and the fact that I still have to make up a postcode when I made the payment ( The Republic does not have postcodes)
But, even if I don't qualify for the free CD, this seems good value. At current conversion rates, I am working this out at around 4.45 euro an issue. Much cheaper than the six or seven euros I can pay here.

Good move.
The buggers at Knock airport last month were charging 6.70 per issue. I laughed, said, 'No chance', left the mag at the till and walked away shaking my head. I was only trying to get an early fix to avoid waiting to read my subs copy on my return to Blighty.

When I lived in Kilkenny the price put me off buying it. Prices down there are a rip off.I subscribe now but i fell sorry for people in the South having to pay so much for stuff. Revolt for God'sake!
