Attention Seinfeld fans

Futurenoir's picture

Play.com are today offering the box set of the entire series of the show for £35!! That's 33 discs and a 226 page hardback book for less than the price of the original retail price of one series! I intend to buy one and flog my original dvds on ebay.

Offer only stands today, apparently.

Wow

I hope someone buys it for me. I love CYE, but I have never seen Seinfeld. I know, I know.

By the way, it's been upped to £45.49 now.

Just bought the set. Thanks

Just bought the set. Thanks for the tip.

I already own all the DVDs so eBay-ahoy! Wonder if I should keep the set with the mini puffy shirt, though...

To my mind, by the by, "Seinfeld" is better than "CYI", perhaps because of the ensemble aspects of it. Whatever the reason, I prefer it, anyway. And the "no hugging; no learning" mantra is marvellous! Great, great series.

Bugger

I only completed my collection of separates a few weeks ago. I'd love to get this, but I know I won't get time to put all the individual sets onto Ebay. That's amazing value though, over 70 hours not even including the extras, fill yer boots!

PS Great line from the Puffy Shirt episode - "Some of those heckles were really uncalled for: 'Avast ye matey,' what the hell does that mean?! '20 degrees off the starboard side - the Spanish Galleon!' There's no comeback for that!"

Just tried to buy...

it, and it's out of stock, damn!

Thanks for the heads-up

Just bought it although I never gave Seinfeld a proper chance when it aired, I much preferred Larry Sanders which followed it on BBC2.

how did you..

manage to buy it and I didn't?!! Is it because I'm in Ireland?!

Just in time for Festivus?

Ordered, despite it being out of stock.

Thanks for the tip-off; amazing value.

Out of Stock

at 8pm, but it still let me order it.

They still seem to have it in stock at £120, so maybe they can take one off that pile and send it to me?

Ordered much earlier today

Coming back to say thanks for the heads-up. I've never seen Seinfeld so it should be fun.

Of course between that, whatever I get for Christmas and the Angel boxset I bought last month I probably won't need to buy another DVD during 2010. Except for the second seasons of Dollhouse and True Blood.

Also saying thanks for the heads up.

Don't have time to post while at work, but I made time to order it. Fantastic deal!

I'm just after....

purchasing it! Sent them an email to say that they should say that it's out of stock, checked back this morning and it says 'in stock'! Hopefully I didn't mess up yesterday, and find myself with a few of them on Christmas morning! Many thanks for posting about this.

Thanks!

Got one last night after I read it on here. Appreciate the tip-off, especially as it's gone up to £100 today.

10 mnths on, just fnished it

Every episode, every season, most of the extras. Great entertainment but also fascinating to see the stories and characes develop, and then to hear the cast discussing it. Highly recommended.
