Apple's Latest Gadget

BigJimBob's picture

At 18.00 GMT the mystery will finally be over. You have to admire Steve Jobs's chutzpa; he's turned a product launch into a huge event. The interweb and the media as slavering as they eat out of his hand. Anyone got any predictions as to what it will do? Are you going to get one? Or are you singing to yourself "Don't, Don't, Don't Believe the Hype"

This Jason Calacanis chap

This Jason Calacanis chap who is a name in tech blogs has allegedly had the device for a few days and has been tweeting about it for the last few hours. He says it's past the Non Disclosure Agreement.

If this is true, it sounds pretty nifty.

I do hope that's real.

"Planting seeds in farmville on my apple tablet.... So cool how you shake the tablet to plant seeds then wobble it to spread water around."

Must. Have.

I've always used Apples professionally

and at home since 1985 but I only got round to needing an iPod last year and that was because of the Word podcasts and the fact my new car had an mp3 player socket. I can't see me jumping on this train just yet, also I've just ordered a 27" iMac.

blinking heck

that's bigger than my telly!

that's why I stumped up the extra

my telly is a very nice 21" Toshiba CRT but I find I spend most of my time watching things on my Mac, I did think about getting a new flat screen jobbie but the quality of the new Mac screens rendered that obsolete

fingers crossed I don't have the flickering or cracked screen or over long delivery

I'm perfectly happy...

...with reading a book or staring out of the window while travelling. I have no desire to be able to access a computer/ the internet every second of my waking life. So, no, I certainly won't be queuing outside the Apple shop at midnight on a Sunday.
