Anyone got the new Neil Young reissues?

And if so, what do they sound like? Wondering if these are worth a punt.

Harvest

I didn't know any more had come out.
I've just had a look at Amazon where the review for harvest states: "Due to back troubles, Young recorded much of this material while wearing a brace, a fact that seems audible in the tension and unease that underlies the friendly, acoustic surface of this superb release."
I couldn't say how many times I've heard it, but I've never caught that tension and unease.

Picked up all 4 last week on Amazon

Only got through 'After The Goldrush' so far - very crisp, great bass. Definitely worth £5 of anybody's money.

Taking a first..

..listen to "Everybody Knows.." as I type.Certainly louder and fuller sounding. Lots of amp hum audible at times but seems to lack top end,hi-hat and cymbals a bit lost in the mix.

HDCD

Just noticed while perusing the insert that these re-issues have been encoded using the HDCD system. My venerable CD17 KI Sig doesn't have the circuitry necessary to decode the HDCD signal which may explain why the sound seems to lack treble.I believe many more recent cd players do include said gubbins,so probably won't suffer this snag.
