Anyone else waiting for exam results?

Not my own - one of our lads.

Far,far worse than my memories of waiting for the arrival of the post thirty years ago.......

He appears to be sleeping like a baby, meanwhile my GLW and I have been awake and restless for much of the night.

Still Waiting

UCAS site appears to have crashed so it's off to school.

I know he wanted to wander into school knowing if one of his offers had been confirmed.

Results in

Boy has got the place he wanted. All relieved in the Beach household and now celebrating with bacon baps all round.

Something of an end of an era for us. Last one out of school so no more parents' evenings, prize days and lost blazers. Almost got a lump in my throat.

They're already present and correct on the Daily Mail website (referred to purely in the name of research you understand), I'm sure the other news sources will fall into line soon.

Think those post A-level shots in the broadsheets of pretty private schoolgirls celebrating their A-level results are just a bit of a lucky result for the photographers? Think again.

Schools start phoning newspapers early in the Summer to explain just how attractive their female A-level pupils are.

A journalist on FT.com says he was invited to a school sports day to scope out which girls they might want pictures of.
