Anyone else looking forward to Lambchop's latest?

AT my age I don't usually want to rush out on release day, but in this case I will make an exception. I guess, up until Monday, I'll have to make do with a classic like this:

Fopp today
I saw a couple of Lambchop albums in Fopp (Glasgow) today. Swithered. Bought other things instead.
Lambchop
The new one is excellent. Well worth buying.

Still like 'em
But I find less that grabs me with each release I'm afraid. Maybe I listen to so much now that I don't allow myself to wallow in an album like I did with "How I Quit Smoking".
The first review of Mr. M here made me chuckle - http://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/lambchop/mr__m/
No
.
Another admirer here
Ordered it on the strength of the pre release teaser tracks. The last few albums have been a case of diminishing returns for me so really hoping this really proves to be a "return to form".
Btw BigJim - are you aware of Wagner's connection with Sheffield?.
Yes
He played at his old school a few years back didn't he? That would be a good pub question wouldn't it? "What connects Kurt Wagner and Micheal Vaughan?"
he did indeed
and even spared a few minutes to have a word with old bargepole - top man.
Silverdale School
I was privileged to be in the audience. One of the odder gigs I have attended as many in the packed hall were there to support the School PTA and had no idea about his music. He was clearly rather freaked out by the whole evening.
Currently being streamed on NPR...
... I loved "Nixon" - but my favourite is "Is A Woman". They are a band I enjoy in small doses - because they, pretty much, write the same tune for every song.
Liked Nixon, diminishing
Liked Nixon, diminishing returns thereafter, 'is a women', rather dull.
I will give this a go.
Lambchop meant a lot to me at one point, Nashville Parent might be a Desert Island Disc, but I slightly lost sight of them. I will change this situation forthwith...
