Anyone else enjoying 'Harper's Island'?

It's a soap, it's a murder mystery, it's horror, it's I Know What You Screamed Last Summer - the TV Series, it's glossy and daft and I'm really hooked. Or after the last episode I saw, harpooned!

Watched the first couple
and it was ok. A scheduling clash meant i then missed one and now don't feel an inkling to catch up.
Harry Hamlin's casting was inspired, though
It HAS improved
Thought the first couple OK as moving wallpaper, only really saw the 3rd and 4th for lack of anything else on but glad we did, the plot thickening, twists lurching, victims dropping.
iplayer catch up?
We forgot to watch it....
How gory is it?
American terrestrial gory
There some glancing 'eyeuhh!' moments but it all kinda good humoured, sunny and breezy, as far as violent deaths go...
(Think British terrestrial telly far nastier. My wife was watching 'Waking the Dead' last night and personally I found that, trying to be Dark and Intense and Adult, far more grisly. Don't get what's entertaining about 'realistic' torture and emotional distress filmed in dingey lighting.)
it's on BBC3
It's already been axed Stateside
not that that means it was necessarily bad. It's got some hooked in this office, but others think it's dross.
Did they at least get to the end and show who dunnit?
(You sure it wasn't one of the characters who got axed...)
Full series shown
- then axed
I'm enjoying it too
In terms of it not being renewed for another series, depending on what the ending has in store I hadn't thought it would be anyway. It seems like an individual story rather than something that could run and run, especially given how quickly they're knocking off the cast.
I've seen up to episode 4 so far.
All over now
and no, there couldn't have been a sequel.
