Anymore Bargains @ HMV or elsewhere

craig42blue's picture

Bargains are getting harder to find in HMV Preston and Blackpool but managed to get the weighty "Echoes: Pink Floyd Complete History" coffee table book for £7- and the parish now has another fan of the Avett Brothers (thanks to all who recommend this steal at £3).
They sound at times reminiscent of The Band, Fleet Foxes and even The Feeling...

Can anyone recommend any other bargains in store or online?

Motown Chartbusters

In store you can get Motown chartbusters 1,2,3 box set, and the Chartbusters 4,5,6 as part of the two for £10 promotion. 96 tracks for a tenner...not too shabby.

Liam Finn

I picked up Liam Finn's "I'll Be Lightning" at HMV today for £1.70. I haven't listened to it yet, so I don't know whether it counts as a bargain.

Finn jnr

Certainly is a bargain. Caught him for first time at SXSW in 2008 - great live performer and that album has a couple of really good songs. His lineage shines through.

At the weekend I picked up

Stackridge - Something for the Weekend
Yes - Topography
I Am Kloot - Gods And Monsters
Blue Aeroplanes - Life Model

For the princely total of £2. I love car boots

Life Model,

Swagger and Rough Music are my favourite Blue Aeroplanes albums... I never seem to be able to find any cds of interest at car boots..

Going to FOPP London

on friday before the Massive meet up. No doubt I will regale attendees with the insight on my purchases.
Either that or I will get pissed and completely forget what I bought!!
