Anybody See The Eclipse This Morning?

geacher53's picture

I did, and it was bloody amazing. At 7.40 this morning, a crystal clear, cloudless, cold western sky, and there it was. Now I ain't by any stretch a spritual person... quite the opposite in fact.... if I can't eat it touch it drink it speak to it, then for me it may not as well exist, but that was awesome. What shook me tho' that when I turned away to head to work, I fired up the old IPod on shuffle... over 6500+ songs on that baby... and what was the first song that played?
Van Morrison's "Brand New Day".

Not as lucky

The eclipse was 1;30 a.m. here, and was obscured by clouds. Glad you got to see it and enjoyed it though.

Obscured By Clouds?

All that you touch
All that you see
All that you taste
All you feel
All that you love
All that you hate
All you distrust
All you save
All that you give
All that you deal
All that you buy
Beg, borrow or steal
All you create
All you destroy
All that you do
All that you say
All that you eat
Everyone you meet
All that you slight
Everyone you fight
All that is now
All that is gone
All that's to come
And everything under the sun is in tune
But the sun is eclipsed by the moon.
There is no dark side of the moon really.
Matter of fact it's all dark.

Well,

The moon was bloody dark this morning.... with a wee tinge of pink on the rim, Missus.

Yes indeed good sir!

Thanks for catching the reference.
And while we're at it:

Won't you show me
the shine of your Japan,
the sparkle of your China,
