on another music site, that John taught Carl Wilson and David Marks of The Beach Boys to play guitar. Double reason to be sad about his passing

Jeff Beck bought this 1954 Fender Esquire from John Walker for $60 in 1964. Beck went to record all the Yardbirds' hits with it:
