All the name games going on here recently gave me an idea – literal and lateral things inspired by artists/groups names:

Petula Clark would buy herself a pair of comfy shoes.

Joan as Police Woman – Joan Collins unwisely decides to audition for Cagney and Lacey.

Tom Waits at bus stops, mainly.

Fats Domino orders a large Meat Feast pizza (with extra cheese).

James Blunt tells himself the lyrics for ‘You’re Beautiful’ suck. Which they do. He sees beautiful girl, sings ‘I won’t lose sleep at night cos I’ve got a plan’, then carries on for the rest of the song ‘I don’t know what to do cos I’ll never be with you.’ Where did the plan go, James? Where’s the sodding plan?!

Dusty Springfield babysits Bart, Lisa and Maggie.

Blur should have gone to Specsavers.

Rush get done for speeding.

Christopher Cross gets really annoyed no-one is playing Sailing any more.

Coldplay watch open-air theatre in the park.

The Carpenters knock up a nice coffee table.

Oasis go to flower arranging classes.

Regina Spektor spotted on ‘Britains Most Haunted.’

Michael McDonald gets a Big Mac.

The Damned are condemned to be stuck on the M25 for all eternity.
