And the Word is ... 75 Quid!
Posted by Donald McTroosers on 17 April 2009 - 3:13pm.
I've just received the final reminder for renewing my Word subs. As I'm not of, or indeed in, the UK the price for 1 year's sub is 75 pounds! This is not a good thing.
If the extra cost is all down to P&P, can there not be an alternative method of accessing content without needing it to physically come to me? Some sort of multi-media subscriber package downloadable on this site, for instance. I'd gladly pay for it, just not as much as it now costs when the medium is a wad of paper in a plastic bag.

If you will live in Улаанбаатар
what do you expect? Have you any idea how much they charge per mile for camel mail these days?
Er.. one hump, or mebbe two?
They're not the only ones with the hump about this. Liberate the camels, I say.
It's 80 quid
..if (like me) you live in Oz.
(Thank god for Mr Rudd's stimulus queque..)
Ditto
Hear, hear (New Zealand is, like, rilly far away dude)
Does anybody really know what time it is ...
I guess the 180 quid for 3 years might be an option for those of us with a good credit rating (Ha!), but 3 years is a loooong time. We'll all be trying to scrape together enough cash to be 'invited' to join the Spotwordify Massive as it extends its tentacles outside of the Old Countries.
