And the winner is...

steepletone.jpgOur competition to win a retro-style Steepletone record player has proved very popular, and particularly tough to judge, but we do have a winner.

For his brilliant history of the little-known English Channel label, the prize goes to backwards7. This entry is of such a high standard, like so many of his contributions, that we may be reduced to barring him from future competitions altogether.

So congratulations to backwards, and thanks again to Chris Rea and his Fabulous Hofner Bluetones for the lovely prize.

Good decision

Congratulations to Mr 7.

...Farm. No, hang on...

Well done, backwards.

A worthy winner...

...congratulations backwards7

Thanks...

...to the people at WORD magazine and also to the posters on this website who left positive comments.

I am certain that this record player will prove to be an indispensable tool in my on-going research of the music industry.

Congrats Mr 7

I posted this already but it seems to have disappeared.

Anyway, just wanted you to know that while mooching through my vinyl this morning I found the single All The While I Think Of You by Sugar Kane.

Is it worth anything?

I may be interested in doing a swap.

Hopefully you haven't come across it since your blog post!

Just noticed something very interesting

Its TC2008/DJ1 rather than your TC2008 which (and I maybe completely wrong about this), a one off.

Well done Backwards

Well deserved!
