An old man in a bar

Andrew2's picture

gave me the secret of happiness last night.
"Every morning we wake up and vacillate between gratitude and entitlement - chose gratitude".

That is all

Must be nice...

...drinking in Socrates's boozer*. Stay away from the hemlock cocktails, though.

i tend to vacillate

Between regret and despair, I choose regret mainly.

Thanks, I needed that.

Going through a bit of a testing time at the moment, and those are wise and helpful words. I'll try and remember them tomorrow morning!

Thanks dear

Hugs always welcomed. Honest, it's all going to be fine, not to worry.

First thing in the morning...

I tend to vacillate between getting up to have a piss and going back to sleep.

In the whole world...

there are really only two problems.

I've always found that to be a comforting thought, only two problems in the whole world. One problem is, "you know what you want but you don't know how to get it", and the only other problem is, "you don't know what you want."
