this is the new Amee Mann cd - scores double for both crap title and cover art.
I am a huge huge fan, but really this isn't going to win any converts. Surely she's not so scary that during the development meetings someone couldn't have gone "err it's a bit crap isn't it?"

Like you I'm a fan, but I can't say any of her cover art has been up to much. I always thought the I'm With Stupid sleeve was very poor and I didn't like The Forgotten Arm either.

I love Aimee Mann dearly but that really is horrendous cover art... and what a naff title.
Shame. I'll buy it, but as you say, it's not going to win her any new fans...
There's got to be some rhyme or reason to it; some thinking behind it. But I can't imagine what.

Her label isn't called 'Superego Records' for nothing. She can do whatever she likes; we'll all buy it anyway 'cos we are fans and we'll just about forgive her anything (including the Christmas album). 'The Forgotten Arm' was a very poor sleeve, as was 'I'm With Stupid' and er, 'Bachelorette # 2'. In fact the last really good sleeve was 'Whatever'; 'cos she looked foxy on it. I suspect she cares less and less about looking foxy these days 'cos that what record labels expect of female artists. When's it out?
