Algorithm malfunction

Norwegian Blue's picture

Amazon doesn't always get it right.

Because I bought this charger for my Kindle

they suggested I might like this book

Anyone else with tales of algorithms gone crazy?

Animal lover required...

When I was between jobs I completed an on-line questionnaire at the job centre which was intended to give me an idea of the type of careers I might enjoy. One of the questions was 'Would you like to work with animals' which I replied with a 'yes'.
At the end of the questionnaire the results displayed and my number one career suggestion was 'Abattoir Worker'.

Memory card

The other day I was looking at a five-pound SD card on Amazon, and it suggested I might like to buy a three hundred quid camera to go with it.

Isn't that a bit like going to get a tank full of petrol and being asked "havbe you got a Nectar card? And would you like to buy a car to go with that petrol?"
