Album Atlas - for the massive
Posted by ceepee on 17 December 2008 - 1:50pm.
Now then, an idea just came to me. I've just eaten a huge Christmas lunch so my faculties may be awry, but how about a version of the album atlas that shows where the massive reside. No addresses obviously, but maybe down to postcode level? Could the technology behind the album atlas be used for this? I for one would like to see which parts of the country, continent, world have been reached by this website.
I'll start - I live in YO23 and work in YO10.

meaningless postcodes that no-one uses are:
0630 (H) 0740 (W)
When I lived in NZ
My postcode was 4, and my telephone number 54321.
True, dat.
Manfred Mann
What a bonus to have a telephone number you can sing!
Not really worth a separate thread but there must be other numbers that would be easy to remember because they have been immortalised in rockular music.
There was "5705" by The Motors in the late 70s and that's all I can think of. Country & Western springs to mind but that's about as far as my mawkishness safety valve will let me travel.
The Motors?
City Boy, methinks.
I sit corrected
Thanks.
634 5789
I've always been tempted to dial this one to see if Wilson Picket answers the phone.
Squeeze did a telephone number, too
(I nearly typed "number 2" as not the strongest Difford/Tillbrook)
853 5937
I typed this into Google and got Thunderbuck Moses D'Artagnan.
and who can forget
Man's wonderful 7171 551?
the number listed on the label was different from the above and was rumoured to belong to, I believe, Mike Nesmith of t'Monkees, or was that just stoner shit?
632 3003
A telephone box in Meols (Wirral) and a line in an OMD song (Red Frame White Light).

As in, yes, what the hell happened to her? Massive hit, OK, quite big, a 2nd LP produced by Mitchell Froom and Tchad Blake, then at the peak of their Costello/Thompson powers, an EP of Costello covers and then, diddlysquat.....
