After They Were Famous

Listening to last week's Podcast, Clare Grogan mentioned inventing the name "Tallulah Gosh". This reminded me of seeing recently that Amelia Fletcher of the 80s indie band Tallulah Gosh (and backing vocals on some of the early The Wedding Present records) is now Chief Economist at the Office Of Fair Trading. Anyone else know of members of bands who have gone on to more notable careers or achievements in other fields?

Hasn't this been featured in Word before?

Many people are very excited
Many people are very excited to watch the movie of the year the “Invention of Lying”. It really caught my attention. For sure, many people will watch it. Invention of Lying reviews has been downright glowing. The film, written and directed by and starring Ricky Gervais, poses the philosophical and ethical question of where the world might be if no one lied. The film takes place in an alternate reality where no lie has ever been told, and Gervais' character tells the world's first. It also features Jonah Hill, Jennifer Garner, Christopher Guest, and comedienne phenomenon Tina Fey. If the Invention of Lying reviews are as good as the film is it might be worth a small loan to go see.
