The Slits are coming to Newcastle in May. When I was a lad and all this was just fields, they were one of my bestest bands ever, along with The Banshees and Patti Smith.
I'm not one for tribute bands and I'm not one for reunuion tours, despite this - I'm tempted. If Budgie was in the drum seat I'd deffo go, seems though he's not.

So Massive, should I stay (in) or should I go?

Go!

I once was afeared of the reunion tour, but with the notable exception of the Sex Pistols (ruined by Lydon's pantomime dame antics)everyone I've seen has been absolutley ace! Particularly Magazine, Buzzcocks, Gang Of Four and Killing Joke.

Actually, The Stranglers were fairly pony but that was because they had a real knob as a singer and not the great Hugh Cornwall..

Viv Albertine

She won't be there either (unless she's changed her previous stance). But her new solo stuff is very good.

She won't...

...and that's the most compelling reason for not going. On the other hand, if you get the chance to catch her current band, rush along!

I saw them in Liverpool

last autumn and they were brilliant. Highly recommended.
