Been MONTHS since we went to the cinema, all the 'serious', Oscar-would-be films burped out at once then nothing for another year....
I don't wanna see 'Thor' or 'X Men 5' or 'Transformers 3' or 'The Green Lantern' or 'The New Shmoo' or whatever other crap's on! I loved comics and graphic novels but I've seen enough superhero films now for one lifetime, and I'm in my forties, and I have a wife I'd like to take with me to the cinema!
(moan, moan, whine, whine.... Do feel free to join in.)

Go and see 'Le Quattro Volte'
It's been out a while so might be harder to track down, but it's worth it. It's basically an arty dialogue-free film about goats in southern Italy. Apparently inspired by Pythagoras's ideas of 'four-fold transmigration' — by which the soul is passed from human to animal to vegetable to mineral.
I know it sounds like an art-house cliche but it really is rather special. Check out the trailer.
must admit
is making 'Transformers' sound an option...
I'm kidding, have added it to our lovefilm list. Thanks.
If you can find it,
and if you don't mind seeing a documentary rather than a "movie", then maybe you can hire th...er, I mean then you might very much enjoy Senna, the biopic of F1 champion Ayrton Senna.
Showing in Odeons
nationwide next Tuesday (21st) apparently.
Know what you mean
This saturday my daughter is at a sleepover. The idea was a movie and then a curry but there is a right load of old shit at the cinema - looks now like it will be a curry and then our own Adult movies!!
Is cinema now mostly for kids
and the grown-up stuff made for TV?
