Adam Buxton returns for his second Bug show in Manchester, having begun taking it out of London earlier this year. He screens unusual music videos (with select amusing comments) and a few clips of his own, along with a bit of comedy. The show is greater than the sum of its parts: it entertains and introduces and I’m eager for it to return again with a new set of clips. The beauty of the format is that it's a completely new show every time. There were some brief in-jokes from Adam & Joe’s 6Music show (currently on-hiatus) but you could just as easily step into it with no prior knowledge of the content. Special mentions must go to the controversial ‘The Greeks’ video by Is Tropical and Adam’s home-made “How Many Mobys?” clip. They’re on youtube if you’re interested.
The Audience:
Word-friendly. Johnny Marr was a sat on my row!
Food & Drink:
Small cafe in the waiting area, reasonably priced.
It Made Me Think...:
I'd love to see Adam get more TV work, he is a warm and engaging host with a quick mind. Something like this would work well and his his recent turn on 'Never Mind The Buzzcocks' was the best the show has been.

Adam and Joe
I steered clear of them up until earlier this year when I worked through all of their podcasts. They have had me in stitches (usually when I am doing dips or lifting weights in the gym - very dangerous)on many occasion. Best podcasts I have listened to in fact.
Just never liked their TV programmes.
I'm going to the BUG Radiohead Special
at Odeon Leicester Square at the end of the month. I may have a spare if anyone interesteed.
Oh and am off to the regular BUG nite at the NFT next week. Its the best show in town
