As I sit by the fire with a warming glass of Bruichladdich, I'd like to send best wishes to all who hang out in this lovely virtual pub (which is how I think of this sector of cyberspace).
May 2010 bring you all you want, may the best of your past be the worst of your future, and lang may yer lums reek!

I had a busy Christmas so have pulled up the drawbridge already, happy to let the rest of the world celebrate for me.
I'm in a warm house with a Guinness and Port inside me and am down to just the socks, baggy t shirt and undercrackers.
Relax girls, I'm married.

We're having a quiet one. Takeaway curry, some nice wine and my son and I have just been on the Xbox (where Leeds beat Man U 4-2). Am about to while away the next couple of hours on the sofa with my family.

and the rest of the cronies on this wonderful site. Given recent bereavements in the family we didn't feel much like celebrating this yea so it was a quiet night in, no alcohol and The Boat that rocked. Despite the widespread criticism of this film I find it rather endearing and pleasant - just what we needed in the circumstances.Now to dip into my latests Amazon purchases that arrived yesterday - Gaslight Anthem (£3.98) and a 2 cd Bert Jansch collection (£6.98) - golden age for music buying methinks. Time to get our life back on track - speak again soon,friends.
