I love "A spokesman said" quotes in bizarre news stories. Here are two of my favourites from recent weeks.

A person who put up enlarged photographs of male private parts around a town in Sussex is being sought by police.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "However, from what we've seen, if this is a self-portrait, the artist won't be in a hurry to be identified."

A transvestite had sex with a dog in the moat of an English Heritage castle.
