a Meringue ?

Sour Crout's picture

To these ears this sounds like it was recorded solely on the basis that it would be perfect for the TV show "Glee".Bit of a duet,a chance for the dancers to do something and a singalong bit. Quite like Glee, this song is pants. Whadaya reckon,Massive?
Are bands recording songs so they'll be performed on X-Factor,Glee etc ?.

For fuck's sake...

That should be illegal. I wish Bill Hicks were alive so he could flay the makers of that soulless, boardroom-constructed, Auto-Tuned pile of shitwankery within an inch of their lives.

Ghastly.

So

You quite enjoyed it then

Whatever you do ,Patrick

Don't listen to the US top 40,it's all like that. It's number 1 by the way.

Christ almighty...

Forty examples of soulless, boardroom-constructed, Auto-Tuned pile of shitwankery. Lucky America!

I should despise everything

I should despise everything about this. I don't. Instead I'm thinking things like, 'its very catchy' and 'the video is quite amusing'. I may need help, or at the very least to take a long hard look at myself.

Before I'm summarily expelled from this site, I would like to say in my defence that I recently watched Treme and listened to the soundtrack on Spotify and have been watching Spectacle and recently saw a Richard Thompson gig, both on Sky Arts. I have never knowingly watched an entire episode of Glee.

Quite...

I feel like I should hate it too, but it's a catchy, danceable song and I rather like it. One thing - it sounds a bit like he's singing,

"I've got those moobs like Jagger".

Better get to the gym then mate.

There is no

contemporary band that I despise more than Maroon 5

Hmm

Is Nickelback still in business?

Anglepoised | 2 September 2011 - 2:22pm

It's a close run thing

but Maroon 5 just shade it for their overwhelming smarminess

The cook, she is a whore

It's insanely catchy

But it's rather grand. That said, I can't stop singing it.

Bugger

An attempted Jagger dance has been one of my party pieces for a number of years. Now everyone will be bloody doing it!

It's number 1 in the US?

So there's been chart toppers on both sides of the Atlantic - by different artists - that feature Jagger's name in the title? - Remember that fact trivia quiz fans - it's bound to come up sooner or later.
(I haven't actually heard either so am not sure if Cher Lloyd's Swagger Jagger is actually about the Let's Work hit-maker.)

Awful

And I thought Maroon 5 reached their utter worst with "She Will Be Loved". Uuuurgh.

Having said that. I skipped forward to the Christina bit and it made more sense. If she did the song I think I'd like it. As Chimney says, they're just so smarmy...
