Media inventors.

Columbia Records developed the LP, whilst RC-Victor came up with 45.
Philips produced the cassette tape, whilst a consortium including Ford and RCA-Victor produced the 8-Track.
Sony & Philips together developed the CD.
Sony on their own came up with MiniDisc and several other dead formats.
Sae Han Information Systems probably produced the first MP3 player.
