A little bit of French
Posted by Simon Ford on 8 February 2009 - 11:21am.
I doubt there's anyone else in the Massive who has a bit of a thing for some of the better French stuff of recent years, but here's a playlist of the girls. Feel free to add, etc.

Thanks for this
I like a bit of French, but mostly listen to older stuff and blokes/bands so all this is new to me as I am a bit out of touch with what is going on over the channel.
Spotify seems a bit light on French music though, hopefully a gap that will be filled over time: no Elmer Food Beat, only two CharlElie Couture albums, only one Yannick Noah, etc.
Looking on the bright side - no Michel Sardou :) Lots of 113 though.
Exquisite
I was thinking of adding some of the French electro-pop stuff I like, such as Yelle or Telex (OK - they are actually Belgian) but it would feel like an act of vandalism with such a refined selection. I'm not familiar with any of the artists but very much enjoying it!
Thanks for posting this.
Cheers

Do they have to be French?
Or can they just sing in French.. I was thinking les Vulgaires Machins who hail from Montreal?
Yeah that's fine
doesn't really matter where they're from...
Be sure in what you say.........
There is so much cajun stuff in french that this may subvert what you are seeking. Just a wee warning.
Not of recent years, but Pop A Paris Vols 1 -4
are not to be missed. Someone recommended this series to me, and although it's hard to find (I got it from Amazon.fr in the end), it's well worth it. Acres of the grooviest pop from the Swinging Parisien scene.
