I started off sceptical and expecting to be bored by the time 'Sticky Fingers' popped up I was hooked. Is it a definitive list or are there more? No 'Beggar's Banquet' or 'Let It Bleed'? This is a thread that could run and run.
than I thought. Looks like a couple of fopp specials in there, esp the Babybird box set? Also noticed a few stickers still on the boxes, tut tut! Great stuff, only a man eh!
although I have to confess I was a little disappointed they weren't arranged alpha-chronologically (yes, i'm a virgo!).
Also.... no Fairport..Shurely Shome Mishtake
Found myself playing the "I've Got That One!" game after about 30 seconds
Good to see that mine is not the only collection to contain
Penguin Cafe AND New York Dolls AND Mighty Wind Soundtrack AND War of The Worlds AND The Best of Black Sabbath
seemed to be telling a story but I couldn't quite follow it. For some reason I was chuffed to see the The Electro-Bossa Songbook of the Rolling Stones.
But I forgive you since you've got the first 3 Wire albums and The Fall Singles box set.
The plastic jewel case is a horrible thing to behold though isn't it? Looks tacky as hell and dulls the impact of the sleeve art. It must be held partially responsible for the general lack of affection toward the CD.
"Is it a definitive list or are there more?"
It's everything I currently own with about two or three exceptions as they're more DVDs than CDs (Rush's R30 CD and DVD set, Me and You And Everyone We Know DVD and CD OST and Miles Davis DVD doc with Kind Of Blue CD).
"Looks like a couple of fopp specials in there, esp the Babybird box set?"
About 50% of what I own comes down to good prices. Babybird was £3 for six albums. As actual albums I don't enjoy them but on shuffle they sound good.
"Also noticed a few stickers still on the boxes, tut tut!"
I now regret taking any stickers off the cases. I know someone who's kept the prices on their CDs, so just by looking at them you get an interesting bit of biographical history as it tells you how much they paid and from what shop.

I bought Unhalfbricking. I thought the first half was uninteresting and the second half terrible. I returned it and got my fiver back. I do not regret that decision.

A few other people on YouTube have posted a video of their CDs. They always seem to be all heavy metal with two or three cheesy pop albums like P!nk. It's as if by simply owning a metal album you can't also own a singer-songwriter CD.
"For some reason I was chuffed to see the The Electro-Bossa Songbook of the Rolling Stones."
It might not have much soul but I like it, and I'm always happy to hear it when it comes up on shuffle on my iPod. Their version of She's So Cold is particularly great. I downloaded half of it from eMusic but Fopp had it for £3 so I thought why not.
"Dannii Minogue?!"
I like Dannii Minogue. If you can't see merit in All I Wanna Do or Lovefight then you're missing out.
Each CD should be on screen for 18 frames.
There are 25 frames in a second on a PAL video system. So one and a third CDs are displayed each second. Making it 80 CDs a minute.
Eight and a half minutes should equal 680 CDs.
I've done a few reshoots but it's just picky stuff that no one cares about (a rogue frame causing a glitch during the DeBurgh section, Lateralus is out of focus, Out Of Control has shaking on it, Let's Dance has a shadow moving towards the disc etc) so I won't be re-uploading it.
That
was so much more engaging than it has any right to be.
Just...
what I was thinking.
That was diverting

Fair play for laying out your soul.
You're a Virgo.
Aren't you?
when
you say virgo...
Agreed, much more entertaining
than I thought. Looks like a couple of fopp specials in there, esp the Babybird box set? Also noticed a few stickers still on the boxes, tut tut! Great stuff, only a man eh!
Very clever
but did I miss the Peter Andre/Katie Price CD? Not going back to check...
Quite an eclectic mix...

Is this for...
...insurance purposes?
I love looking through other people's collections.
