A Bad Day for REM

Richie B's picture

A very terse statement from their usually more voluable news team. Will they be mourned? Will they tour one more time? Have they come to the end of their seam or was there more to give? I'm not sure but it's a bit sad, anyhow.

My favourite REM moment, I guess, is this one:

with thanks to the ever vigilant Eamonn Forde

It's the end of the world as we know it....

15 years too late.....

Which is a shame...

Hmmm...

Now they'll have plenty of time to dedicate to the Automatic for the People 10 CD, 10 vinyl, 5 DVD, poster, badge, t-shirt and replica restaurant sign 20th Anniversary Box for 2012.

I never believe it when bands say they're over nowadays.

Sad times for now

I still feel bad at not buying Collapse Into Now. I will at some point, I just couldn't be bothered with another REM record at the time.

If they reform, they reform.

But for now, just be thankful they made this:

"At My Most Beautiful"

The last album of theirs...

...that I enjoyed was 'Up', but still this news makes me sad.
