It's one of those kooky dates again.
That's all, just wanted to celebrate all the ones.
Just wait til November...
Just wait til November...
And it's my birthday
Which is nice.
Mine too.
Happy birthday.
And Mine!
Though I ain't telling you which year!
Just after 11 in the morning...
Elevenses
2012
Next year my birthday will be on a kooky date, 12/12/12.
International soundcheck day.
I think you'll find...
...that the earth collapses into a big nothing before we get that far.
Mine too!
Happy birthday to us
November
Crikey, I hadn't thought of that. Yes. 11.11.11
Well
It's one louder.
1,1,1,1,1
Yahtzee!!!
2, 2, 2, 2, 2
Yup, this mic's OK.
3,3.3.3.3
Nelson Mandela
4.4.4.4.4
Me on the golf course. (Well, it would be, if I played golf...)
5, 5, 5, 5, 5
That bloody Manfred Mann record is sticking again.
6,6,6,6,6
The number of the beast and and two-thirds of another beast...
7, 7,7,7,7
This monkey's gone to heaven
Binary fans..
...can just call the date 31 (or 55 if you're pedantic), and let's face it, there are only 10 types of people in this world - those of us that understand the binary system and those that don't.
I'm stealing that gag.
Have you copyrighted it?
It's already in the "Tell us a joke" thread
I know cos I put it there. TBH I got it from my brother and he didn't make it up.
It's famously on a T shirt.
But sadly it's the sort of T shirt sold at events with which you wouldn't wish to be associated. Well, not if you have any shred of self respect, or wish to ever talk to gurls again. (Beavis voice) Heh heh heh (/Beavis voice). Dammit, must stop tagging stuff. Cover blown.

I'm the scooby doo character
who is always facing the wrong way when the zeitgeist turns up.
I would've gotten away with passing that joke off as my own in public too, if it weren't for those pesky T-shirt makers.
In all fairness
I never claimed I made it up.
It is good though.
It's the way
you type 'em.
Weird stuff
We have a product that we rarely sell with the part number 1111. I took an order for it first thing this morning which is when I noted the date.
Something to look forward to
In 2012, we'll have 10/11/12.
And by the 11th of December the following year
we'll all have perished in a catastrophic meltdown caused by a global triskaidekaphobic panic.
My son was born last year on...
8/9/10.
I thought the world was going to end
in 2012?
It'll be alright.
John Cusack will save us through the heroic use of two things: a massive fucking submarine, and a look of undisguised "will this do?" resignation on his face.
You mean it won't be
Bruce Willis wearing a vest?
*sulks*
Jean Michelle Jarre
At the o2 gig last year the cheese eating, synth noodling, surrender monkey was visibly ecstatic that his gig was taking place on 10-10-10 and a very long intro had been devised where in he counted, slowly, from 1 to 10 before then walking from the back of the arena to the stage.
Anyone going to his gig tonight, if indeed there is one, can probably afford to spend the first 20 minutes in the bar whist he counts up even further before actually getting down to the real business of wrestling to keep a load of analogue synths in tune for an hour and a half.

I realise that by commenting on this, I've ruined it for everyone else...
we had a party
we had a party in our office just after 11 minutes past 11 this morning when it was 11:11:11 on 11/1/11. It only lasted a second mind...
two sevens clash
mmm.. well, it has been good, but not a patch on the excitement that 7/7/77 caused in my long ago classroom.
me too, me too!
I was in a German class and still remember writing 7/7/77 in my exercise book.
Larks!
8/8/88
My parents had a wedding anniversary on 8/8/88. They went for a chinese, and as 8 a lucky number in china, they got their meal on the house.
My nephew
Born on 8/8/88, so was one of Prince Andrew & Fergie's sprogs.
Ah!
Childbirth and free chinese food.
'twas truly a special day!

Okay, 10 days ago, but I became a Step-Granny so no excused for forgetting the birthday !
I thought this was a strange wee thread
until my friends just sent me a picture of their new born baby from yesterday and he was born just before 11pm.
Happy days.
