If this has been posted before please delete this, but Stumble just took me here: http://www.iua.upf.es/~ocelma/1001-spotify-albums/1001_spotify_albums.ht... it's a list of '1001 albums to hear before you die' (yawn) but dates back to the 50s and gives Spotify links for about three quarters of them.
Might be of interest to some.
