I love a good shirt, me.
What do the fashionistas of the Word website recommend?
Your Autobiography
Prompted by this:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-11109986
I hereby invite you lot to give us a title for your Autobiography, if or when you decide to write one.
I'll start: "Iain: Portrait of a Cereal Eater".
NEXT!!!!!
Track 1 Side 1
Yes, I know it's tired, and that Nick Hornby has done it, but I love a thread like this.
What's the best opener ever?
For me it's "It's No Game (Part 1)", though I reckon "Politik" by Coldplay is up there also.
Over to you....
Northern Ireland Massive Meet Up.
The English have done it. Are there enough of us Northern Ireland based massive to make it worthwhile? Let me know how we feel. I perfectly understand that our natural reservedness may preclude such frivolity, but let's see....
No dates thought of yet. All suggestions welcome.
***Edit***
For no good reason, other than it appears to be smoker friendly (I don't, but some do), I have below suggested The Morning Star on 8th October at 7.30pm. Nothing set in stone of course, and feel free to update or suggest alternatives. I will bump this thread again, nearer the time.
Cheers!
Drink has been taken
This made me smile. A lot. I tip my hat to these guys. Fun was evidently being had.....

It's Neil Hannon, isn't it.....?
The above appears to be the answer to many questions.
For example:
Who is the best songwriter around?
Who has just released a masterpiece?
Who has just released the song of the century (I Like)?
Who is a genuinely nice bloke, if the interviews are anything to go by?
Who provided the best backing vocal of all times (No Regrets)?
Who would I willingly have a sex change for, just so I could have his babies?
Sorry, but I am absolutely smitten by "Bang Goes the Knighthood".
Its brilliant.
Human Centipede
Am I alone in thinking I could probably have got through life without knowing that a movie like "Human Centipede" ever existed.
I'm not one for censorship, me, but I really found the fact that this was reviewed in the magazine rather tasteless.
Do I now have to start hiding the mag along with my "Discerning Gentleman's Monthly"?
Frank Sinatra
With great thanks to Fraser (I presume) who posted a link to this in the weekly newsletter, I feel moved to say that this is the best article I have ever read. And I'm only half way through it....
Eric Matthews is in the Tag Cloud!
Yes!
My work here is done. And to celebrate, I think we need a Fanfare...
Do you see what I did there....
A Hard Rain's-A-Gonna Fall? Oi! Hepworth! Nooooo!
Its Jimi Hendrix's All Along The Watchtower.
Its Jimi Hendrix's All Along The Watchtower.
Its Jimi Hendrix's All Along The Watchtower.
Its Jimi Hendrix's All Along The Watchtower.
Its Jimi Hendrix's All Along The Watchtower.
There. That's a start. You are required to copy this a further 95 times, until you realise the great mistake you have made....
I mean, I like Bryan Ferry, but that is not a great cover version.
Weller/ Mercury Prize Nominee
Am I missing something?
Wake Up The Nation, to my mind was one of the most disappointing releases of recent months. A mish mash of styles, a basic lack of tunes, and quite a bit of shouting doth not a classic album make.
I didn't think much of 22 Dreams either, mind you, so maybe he's just "not for me".
Wild Wood is still a classic, mind.
The Damned United
Well, I wasn't expecting a love story, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I enjoyed the book even more, but the movie was still excellent.
Any thoughts?
