Au secours mes amis...

I have a little music related car problem and I would ask for you thoughts on a solution.

I have a 6 cd player in my car. The other day, when I pressed the button to play cd 5, the display said 'no disc'. I then pressed the button for cd 1 and the display said 'no magazine'. When I press the eject button on the magazine holder itself, it makes the familiar 'eject' sound and does a bit of a movement but the magazine stays firmly in place. It would seem that cd 5 is probably out of kilter and is clogging up the works. I would rather not take it to pieces. So, any ideas?

It's 2010 - What's occurring?

So, another year, another decade - what was the first musical treat you gave yourself? For me - Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan from 1974. However, I am going to go bang up to date shortly with Fleet Foxes. Then, it might get loud.

Daniel Henry Edward Thompson - Goddam Legend

Danny Thompson, age 70. I heard this excellent interview on Radio Scotland this week and I realised that of all the great musicians whose gigs I have been to since early 70's this man is most likely the one I have seen on stage the most - but I've never been to a 'Danny Thompson' gig. He has played with a fabulous array of great musicians and he is still playing as well as ever. He will be playing under his own name (Danny Thompson & Friends) at Celtic Connections on 30 January. The friends include Martyn Simpson, damn fine guitarist. He will include a tribute to his old mate John Martyn. His references to JM in the interview had me reaching for the man-size. The interview starts about a minute in once the previous show has ended.
