Went to the Glasgow Gig last night 25 yrs after last seeing them. All 5 looked delighted to be up on stage together and they were really tight.

Mick Jones looked reborn grinning all the way through and Dan Donavan looks the same as he did 25 yrs ago!!!

Jones has said possible new album could happen. Hope so as feel Mick has been pushed out of limelight since Strummer's death and always thought he was the most likeable and talented of the two

Mick Jones back with original line up for UK tour. Really underated band. Megatop Phoenix their 4th album was really good.

Always felt Mick a bit unappreciated by music press.

Anyone catch this 4 hr(!!) doc on BBC4 on Friday night. Always thought his music was okay but an absorbing doc. One of the best I've ever seen & thought Petty came across as pretty decent and a man you'd want on your side in a fight

Think Dave says in the new podcast that once a band makes it in USA they either keep going or reform.

What about The Clash?

Think Comat Rock & Rock The Casbah both top 10 in USA but they never got back together.

Strummer tried a few times but Mick Jones want interested.

With Ross leaving lets hope that the BBC make a wise move for once and get Kermode & Mayo to take over from Jonathan Ross for Film 2010.

There are loads of cds released that everyone likes, Sgt Pepper, Stone Roses, London Calling, Westlife (joke!! honest) and at the moment I havent read a bad review of Dylan' new one but is there a cd that everyone raves about and you hate.

Can I start this and nominate this months cover stars band U2 with The Joshua Tree. Bit of jangly gutar from the Edge and Bono mumbling and shouting over the top. Think it sold about 40 billion but I listened to it recently and instantly stuck it on ebay, no one bought it

I imagine, like me most people who subscribe to Word or write on here like to think that they have a pretty good taste in music.

However, we all probably have some artist/band that we know have no credibiity but we like them anyway.

For every Fall, Clash, Half Man Half Biscuit, or PJ Harvey cd I have bought, I have to confess to buying all of Iron Maidens cds and still listening to them

Don't mention it when I discuss music with other people obviously but happy to confess here.

Let the confessions begin.....

We all know Westlife, Mariah Carey and Robbie Williams are crap but do they care, no because they have loads of hits and loads of cash. How about nominations for great bands & artists who dont have hits but we all think are great. I'll go for
