On Line Poker...rigged?

What's the deal with On line Poker. I've played on various sites for about 8 years now,and one of the constant moans in the subsidiary chat that goes with the game, is that certain sites are at best slightly rigged at worst openly fraudulent.

One of the things I was taught by my elders and betters when playing "real poker" is you get a bad beat, you just deal with it. and you don't bleat and moan.

Are these moans just the squeals of loser or am I in fact the sucker?*

Does any one have the real juice?

* "if after twenty minutes at the table you cant work out who the sucker is...its you"

Who Is Gorgeous George?

I Love Edwyn Collins, all of his solo work is exceptional song writing and really embodies the Nu Sonic sound, which was the original name of Orange Juice.some very left field pop production.

The album Gorgeous George has a number of tracks including the title track which address someone from his musical past. I've often wondered who it is that Edwyn is singing about throughout this album and have been unable to find an answer.

Any Edwyn(ites) out there who would like to share theories or real information? I'm all ears.

The Jo Whiley Music Show

15 mins in and I feel slightly queasy. Why not interview Just Noel G. Julian Lennon has said four words. Oh and the host of a music show hasn't heard of Keith Jarret.Maybe Im too harsh but that feels wrong
Nice bit with Butch Vig though.

lets see how it ends it may get better

edit: er no it didn't get better

Pop Tarts; What's the Deal with Pop Tarts?

I Love Pop Tarts: a strawberry pop tart for breakfast was one of my "five a day"...Five pop tarts a day that is.

However you used to be able to buy this delectable breakfast (other meals are available) treat from any supermarket or corner shop, however they have gone and now can only be found in the "import" section of posh department stores with the Hershey and Reece's products (don't get me started on Reece's Breakfast Cereal, although at £7.95 its a tad over priced) A friend has recently given me a box of Cinnamon Roll pop Tarts.

I bet your all V V Jealous now! Love and Peace Y'all

I really got to get out of this place

''He walked out on the whole crowd
Leaves me flushed and stirred,
Like Then she undid her dress
Or Take that you bastard;
Surely I can, if he did?''

Philip Larkin "Poetry of Departures."

Is just about exactly how I'm feeling. Not maudlin, just aware its time to move on.

I share only to make it seem more ( or less) real

Two Tribes

listening to this the other day I was reminded of Thomas Dolby on the free to air pod-cast talking about Trevor Horns recording technique and it kinda got me thinking about who the heck is playing on this track. Apart from Holly are any other members of FGTH on the recording? I've heard rumours that the bass is played by Norman Watt-Roy of the Blockheads.

Trolling

It happens on many internet sites, here, FB, Twitter, YouTube etc etc etc...does the medium bring out the worst in people or just offer a higher profile for morons?

you know... the devil doesn't have all the good tunes

as a committed Jewish Atheist I have a deep seated love for pop songs which dip their toe in Christian theology.

My current fave rave is from this wonderful group of 12 year olds "Villagers".

I cant stop listening to this so thought I would share
