1985 Argos Catalogue
I expect this will bring back memories for our British Cousins...
"Take a blast into the past of retro goodness with this wonderful scan photostream of the entire 1985 Argos Catalog. From vintage toys, to vintage duvets, cooking tools ... It is all great and all fun ...
Take a look back to a more funky time"
It's a flickr album, by the way:

Whole lotta Lego versions of Album Covers

Note that none of these are part of Flickr's Lego Album pool...
Enjoy.
Hurts - Sons of the Nile?
Hurts - Stay
Blue Nile - Rags to Riches
To my ears, Hurts' sonic pallette sounds like a tributary of the Nile...
Unrelated Egyptian Pun:
Cairo's Hottest New Show: Ramses Pyramid Nightmares
Who versus Star Wars
A good Friday afternoon video...
I rather like this - Quadron singing Slippin
Clever video as well.
Can we turn down the Bruce...
Urgh, enough. Two Word covers in the one year.
And there is, everywhere I turn.
Can't stand him, never liked him. Let's drop a rock on him and hope he can't crawl out from underneath it, the little poseur.
Rant over.
Another attempt at "traditional" cover art for the March "Now hear this" CD
For all those who miss the Word's Rock Chick CD covers, here is the artwork for the March Issue
Image deleted by me.
Any subscribers in Oz got their December issue yet...
I subscribed a fortnight ago and wonder if it was in time to get this months'issue...
Loving the e-dition, by the way.
Winter woes for Southern friends
For those in the Southern Hemisphere it has been a colder, darker winter - thanks to the Word Podcast going on holidays.
Can I suggest that the Backstage podcasts are horded and then released as perfect summer fare & cures for the common cold while the worthy wordies are sunning themselves in foreign climes.
I want to subscribe but I don't want my Word folded or mutilated...
Oh, my sweet Word,
I want you in my mailbox
As quickly as the Man
Can deliver you.
But to find you squashed
Like a prince in a marsh
Or like Amy off her bits
It's off the shelf for me.
