I'm spending my Saturday with Meatloaf...

Well, this has certainly gotten my day off to a rousing start.
Insane. Worth it for the band's hair alone.

One's too many. But a hundred's not enough.

Dear Massive,
My name is Prezbo, and I'm a habitual drinker of wine. As booze crops up here as a topic from time to time, and some amongst us have been candid about their struggles with the stuff, I thought I'd share & seek your advice. For you see, as I approach 40 I find the drink agrees with me less and less, and I have decided to try and knock it on the head. This fills me with a certain amount of trepidation - which reinforces my suspicion that I'd better quit.

Any advice or tales to share would be appreciated.

A paintbrush like Josef Stalin's moustache.

My son (nine) was looking for a thick paintbrush to complete a school project this morning. He had found one for the finer detail, and needed a tool for coverage of a larger area. He asked his mum for 'A paintbrush like Josef Stalin's moustache...' - of course, she knew exactly what he meant and provided the said item. It struck me that these little moments of everyday poetry are special, and amusing, and part of the pleasure of family life. I will remember it long after he has left school, I'm sure.

Any other examples of everyday poetry from the Massive? It doesn't have to be from a child, of course. But I reckon they are the best instinctive users of language. What do you, or more pertinently they, say?
