Kindles over Europe (help!)
OK, you've convinced me - I want a Kindle (3G + Wi-Fi).
I live in Spain and (to take advantage of free delivery) was thinking of buying from the UK store and picking it up in the UK when I visit at Christmas.
So the (probably very dumb) question is, will the 3G work in Spain if it is a UK model? I mean, if Amazon had a deal with, for example, VodafoneUK but another with Orange España would that end in heartbreak for the unsuspecting user?
And if it does work, and my first purchase is when I am in the UK, does that mean I will be forever registered as a UK user and be able to buy from the UK store ad infinitum? Or is your permanent location the game-changer?
Or is it just less hassle to order it from the international (US) store from the get-go?
Any help much appreciated.
Word podcast: a No-Lost-Zone please
The GLW and I have been recording the entire final series of Lost in order to watch it in 3 or 4 meaty dranatic chunks.
However, due to circumstances beyond our control i.e. life and the reality-based world, we have managed to arrive at the final week with 7 episodes still to watch and a hungry media desperate to reveal all.
So, in order that I may emerge at least once from Mugabe media lockdown and enjoy your delightfully urbane and witty emission (nose browning nicely here):
please give Lost a miss, go on, just for a couple of weeks. Pretty please?
