Is this sexist?

These are the urinals situated at The Cheshire Oaks Outlet Village in Ellesmere Port.
I can't for the life of me imagine anyone would adorn the ladies powder room with similar images of geezers.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a humourless git, I just find this decorating/design decision a bit curious. So is it sexist?

Psychedelic Flak. A celebratory painting.

To mark the publication of the momentous 100th issue of the finest magazine on planet Earth I thought a little painterly doodle would be in order.
It's a kind of sky rocket type firework thingy and is my way of contributing to the festivities. It is posted here on behalf of The Massive (cheeky bugger) as a thank you to all at Word Towers.
Over the years all the immensely talented folk who contribute to The Word have enriched my existence in a myriad of ways. I can't envisage life without you.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart and may the long time sun shine upon you.
Peter.

Musical inspiration was provided by many of The Massive by a variety of means. Good on ya! You helped.....a lot.

Apologies of the heartfelt kind.

I've been struggling with a lot of old demons this week and fallen into a serious slough of despond. Unfortunately I have been a right pain in the posterior to many of my friends who are quite rightly I sense, completely cheesed off with me. What can I say? Thank you for being so patient with a seriously stupid old dauber who regrets letting a very slight oversight by one of his friends to throw him into such a tail spin.
My sincere apologies. No excuses. I'm an idiot.

Positive Spring Vibes Man.

It's Spring. It's a beautiful sunny day. The dark veils of Winter have been consigned to the cobwebbed attic of Mother Nature for a few months. Let's get Positive and post those things that will make all our lives a little bit more groooooooovy!
I'll start. Here's some artwork from yours truly. Hope It helps to get those Boogie-Woogie nerve endings firing on all six.

As always these pieces are dedicated to The Massive and all at Word Towers. Mwah!

Little Red Rooster.

It is my habit whilst driving to my local shopping emporium every Thursday for the weekly grocery provisioning to listen to my ipod on shuffle. This morning this popped out.

It got me thinking about how many versions of "Little Red Rooster" I have. It turns out to be five.

The Stones.
Sam Cooke.
Howlin' Wolf.
Big Mama Thornton.
Howlin' Wolf & The Yardbirds.

I know there are many more but I think five is really quite enough for me. So what songs do the massive have multiple versions of and how many?

Merry Christmas everyone.
Love.

You lot really get my Goat.....a name.

Thanks to Brookster and Drakeygirl we now have a pet....a Goat!

The Goat is a supernatural creature that will only appear when enough collective ire has been raised about a particular topic/post.

Drakeygirl and I believe the Goat needs a name and so in the grand tradition of Blue Peter it's over to you.Name that Goat!

What have I missed?

Due to a technical cock-up with my broadband connection (don't ask) I've been out of the loop Wordiverse wise since the weekend. So what have I missed? From what I can gather I need to vote, play with Mariah's balls and become a member of the fairer sex amongst other things. What else?

A portrait of and for The Massive.

This is my version of a love letter to you all. Many of you wonderful people write at a level of erudition and with such quality that I am often in awe of your abilities. You make me laugh, think and now and again cry. You've turned me on to new music and made me re-evaluate my attitude to some music I thought I knew well. You've introduced me to new writers, new films and even new foods.Hell,I love you people and I consider each and every one of you my friend. It's a privilege to be considered a part of this miraculous place.
So I thought I'd use my favoured means of expression and make you this....

Each little piece is unique, just like you all are. Each little piece works in harmony with all the others to create a greater Whole, just like we do.
Have a great weekend y'all.
Peter XX.

For Lesley.A fine and noble lady.

Our good friend Beany and his family face the difficult task of saying farewell to their loved one Lesley today.Sometimes words are not enough to express the deep sorrow one feels for the people we love.I post this in tribute to a life well lived.

Thinking of you all.

An Animated Life.

I love Pixar as much as the next slightly immature fifty four year old but the world of animation is a broad church with the work of many practitioners to enjoy.Next Wednesday the B.B.C.on Four are broadcasting this :-

And on Film Four the next day :-

And now a little self indulgence,I have long been a fan of the Czech Film maker Jan Svankmajer. His Dark, disturbing surreal animations really float my boat.Enjoy.
