I,ve just finished reading Paul Trynka,s excellent Iggy biography Open Up and Bleed, and in it the author suggests the reason for Bowie including so many( 5 out of 9)songs written by, or with,Iggy was to bail him out financially, knowing the album would sell bucketloads after the success of Lets Dance. I know Bowie,s had a reputation for helping out mates, but i find it hard to believe he,d release a substandard album,described by the author as "an act of charity", just to provide Iggy with songwriter credits and the cash it brings in. Any thoughts out there ?

I went down into our cellar yesterday to finally bring back up my collection of Marvel comics, saved between 1980--2000. They,d been stored there, in the safest place i could think of, while the bedroom was being re-jigged. So now, after the snow has melted..and poured through the cellar air brick, all i,ve got left is stinking papier mache. Once the numbness has subsided i may have a good cry!!

So, another month, another Terry/Family disgrace. Now, as much as i can,t stand the bloke and personally feel he deserves all that,s coming to him, i was wondering what thoughts the Massive have on the disclosure of , what on the face of it, seems to be a private matter--should it affect his England position, and if it does, how high is the moral ground we stand on regarding the other transgressors such as Rooney with his gambling, Gerrard fighting in night clubs, Rio thinking drug tests are beneath him etc. The White Shirt of England is looking very grubby these days, and i,m feeling uncomfortable about cheering these people on in the summer.

Has anyone discovered something so good on Spotify that makes you wonder,as a music fan, how the hell you missed it first. time around?? For me it,s Grandaddy,Flaming Lips, Dead Can Dance,Sun Kill Moon, early Robert Palmer stuff, and Bowie,s last three albums...and thats just the tip of it...a pox on the Spotify haters!!!
